Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 July 2026
This policy explains how Strange Tech (“we”, “us”), a venture studio operating from London and Dubai, collects and uses your personal data when you visit strange.tech or one of our landing pages, contact us, or download a resource. We are the data controller for the information described below. Questions? Email hello@strange.tech.
Information we collect
- Information you give us — your email address when you request a resource (such as our playbook), and your name, email, and message when you contact us or book a call.
- Usage & device data — pages viewed, referring links, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you interact with the site (for example scroll depth and clicks), collected automatically via cookies and similar technologies.
- Campaign data — marketing parameters (UTM tags) from the link you arrived through, stored temporarily in your browser to attribute enquiries.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and deliver resources you request.
- To send you relevant follow-up about our services, where you have consented.
- To measure and improve our website and advertising performance.
- To keep the site secure and operating correctly.
Legal bases (UK/EU GDPR)
We rely on your consent for marketing communications and non-essential cookies; on our legitimate interests in running and improving our business for analytics and responding to enquiries; and on taking steps at your request before entering an agreement when you ask us to scope work. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Analytics, advertising & third parties
We use trusted third-party services that process data on our behalf. These may process data outside the UK/EU (including the United States) under appropriate safeguards:
- Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads) — site analytics and advertising measurement.
- LinkedIn (Insight Tag) — advertising measurement.
- Loops — email delivery and marketing.
- Vercel — website hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.
- Google Calendar — scheduling discovery calls.
You can control advertising cookies via your Google Ad Settings and browser settings.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the site and, with your consent, analytics and advertising cookies to understand usage and measure campaigns. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.
Data retention
We keep enquiry and marketing data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, and no longer than required by law. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
Under UK/EU data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our use of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@strange.tech. If you are in the UK and unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
