Equity vs cash
On venture partnerships we take a minority equity stake in exchange for reduced cash fees. On products, agencies, and advisory, we work in cash only. Everything is agreed in writing before work begins.
Scope changes
Scope changes happen. We flag them in writing, price them explicitly, and hold decisions in your hands. No surprise invoices, no scope-creep drift.
Discovery is free
The initial 30-minute discovery call is free. Deeper scoping work — technical audits, architecture reviews, DD — sits under Advisory.
Payments
Projects usually run on a 50/25/25 schedule (kickoff, milestone, delivery). Retainers bill monthly in advance. Advisory sessions bill on booking.
Things we don't bill for as part of a build.
- Paid advertising spend, media buying, or ad management
- Third-party licence fees (Stripe, AWS, OpenAI, Twilio, etc.) — passed through at cost
- Post-launch marketing services
- Domain, email, or DNS provisioning
