How we work together

What does "equity partnership" mean?+
We take a minority equity stake in your company in exchange for reduced cash fees. It aligns us financially with your success — we win when you win. The exact split depends on scope and stage, and everything is agreed in writing before work begins.
Do you always take equity, or can you do fixed fee?+
Both. Ventures usually run on an equity + reduced cash model; product builds for funded teams and agency white-label work run on fixed project fees or monthly retainers. We recommend the structure that fits your stage and cash position.
What's included in a venture build?+
Everything technical: product strategy, UX/UI design, architecture, engineering, QA, deployment, and launch. We also advise on fundraising decks, investor positioning, and technical due diligence. In practice we act as your entire technical department.
How does agency white-label work?+
We operate entirely under your brand — your email addresses, your project tools, your repos. Your clients interact with us as if we're part of your team. NDAs are standard, and we've delivered inside agency structures for years.
Process & Team

How the build runs

How long does a typical build take?+
MVPs usually run 8–12 weeks from kickoff to launch. Complex products with multiple integrations or platforms sit around 16–20 weeks. We scope precisely during the discovery call so timelines aren't guesswork.
How fast can you start?+
For retained engagements we can typically start within 1–2 weeks. New project-based work needs 2–3 weeks for scoping and kickoff. Urgent situations — tell us; we'll be honest about what's possible.
Who actually works on my project?+
A small senior team — usually a technical lead, one or two engineers, and a designer, plus a founder-facing principal for strategic oversight. No offshoring, no bait-and-switch to juniors. You meet the people building your product on the first call.
What tech stack do you work in?+
Core stack: Flutter/Dart (mobile), React/Next.js (web), Laravel/PHP (backends), Python (AI/ML). Also Go, Rust, and AWS infrastructure. We pick the simplest stack that meets your requirements — not the trendiest.
Can you take over an existing codebase?+
Yes — rescue projects are one of the things we're known for. We've taken over broken prototypes and shipped them to production in as little as eight weeks. Expect a paid technical audit before we commit to timeline or scope.
Pricing

What it costs

How much does a venture build cost?+
From £14K in cash on the equity model. Product builds without equity start from £20K. Retainers for agency white-label start from £2.5K/month with a 3-month minimum. See the pricing page for details.
What happens if scope changes mid-build?+
Scope changes are normal. We flag them in writing before doing the work, price them explicitly, and hold decision-making in your hands. No surprise invoices, no scope-creep drift.
Do you offer discovery/scoping as a standalone service?+
Yes — via advisory sessions (from £750/session) or fractional CTO/CPO retainers (from £3K/month). Useful pre-build, during fundraising, or when scoping a partner engagement.
Ownership

Who owns what, after launch

Who owns the IP and code?+
You do. All code, designs, and assets are yours from day one, transferred contractually as we go. On equity ventures the IP sits with the venture company we've partnered on, in which you're the majority owner.
What happens after launch?+
Two options. Take the codebase in-house — we hand over full documentation, environment access, and a walk-through with your engineers. Or stay with us on a support/iteration retainer to keep shipping. Either is fine.
Do you offer ongoing maintenance and iteration?+
Yes, on retainer. Post-launch is often where the real product-market-fit work happens, and we regularly stay on with venture partners through fundraise and scaling phases.
Fit

Is this a match?

What if we don't get along after the discovery call?+
No hard feelings. The call is genuinely free with no commitment. If we're not the right fit, or think your idea needs a different approach, we'll tell you honestly and point you elsewhere.
Do you work with technical founders who already have a team?+
Sometimes. If you're looking for extra hands, we're rarely the cheapest option — a contractor probably is. Where we add value is strategy, senior architecture, unblocking, and category-defining launches.
Are you a good fit for enterprise clients?+
For product innovation and greenfield work, yes — we've delivered platforms live inside premium and enterprise brands (see SEQR). For pure body-shopping or large managed services, no — that's not what we do.
